Hello, my name is Sarah...
and I have been a qualified Montessori Directress for over 20 years. When the Covid Pandemic arrived, I was sadly forced to resign. This was a great sorrow for me so I decided to set up my own small Montessori preschool from my home in Lynfrae and I opened in January 2022.
I have created a happy, safe environment where I accept 6 children between the ages of 3 and 6 years old. My school is well equipped and sits in a lovely spacious garden. I love children and am passionate about nurturing their learning through the Montessori Method.

The Montessori Method
The Montessori Method was developed in the early 1900’s by the Italian medical doctor, Maria Montessori. It is a method of education which gives the child a unique opportunity to fulfill his/her potential in a positive, safe child centered environment.
Each child is taught individually and children work in a mixed age classroom at their own pace. Montessori focusses on educating the whole child:
- Physically
- Spiritually
- Mentally
- Emotionally
A Montessori education becomes an education for life, it enthuses the child to learn and thus develop a life-long love of learning which will continue his/her whole life through.

Sarah wholeheartedly embodies the Montessori philosophy. This is evident when seeing the joy that Sarah takes in the Prepared Environment, which she has created with her continued creativity; the environment that Sarah has created is an invitation to learning. Sarah is a patient guide, never raising her voice, but calming guiding towards opportunities of child-led learning. Sarah has shown me how to foster independence within my child and to believe that he has the innate knowledge needed for his own learning journey.
